While works alone will not save us, no believer who has truly made Jesus Christ Lord of his or her life can be unmoved by the needs all around us.  As believers, we are called to give aid where it is needed and to help where it will save lives, families… and sometimes souls as well.

“…whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25)

MBC takes that exhortation seriously, committing itself and its people to a variety of outreach ministries to our community.  The list below describes some of them, but frankly, the list grows as needs become visible and MBC members step up to help meet them:

Sports Ministries

Soccer, Cheerleading, Basketball

Mineral Baptist Church offers a wide range of Christ-centered sports programs for children and youth from Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Basketball and Cheerleading are offered Saturdays in the Family Life Center gym while Upward soccer is conducted on the church’s field area. Games and practices are held during their seasons on Saturdays from 10am until 2pm.
Specific times and dates are available on the calendar pages of this site or from the church office at 540-894-4234. Participants learn the fundamentals of sports and cheerleading in a non-competitive, Christ-centered atmosphere in which “everyone plays and everyone is a winner.”

Achievement and effort in each program is recognized at an awards celebration dinner capping each season. The programs are offered at a modest fee to cover equipment and uniforms. Scholarships are available for those with special financial needs. In addition to the organized sports programs, MBC’s Family Life Center is the hub for a growing list of sports activities.

Exercise classes on Monday Wednesday and Friday mornings.

NOTE: Gym in use for Mineral Baptist Upward Basketball Activities during the winter months. No Open Gym during this time.

MBC Archery Program

Mineral Baptist Church Archery (MBCA) is an outreach ministry made up of two programs:
First is a yearly eight week instructional program that teaches the life skills of archery while introducing the archer to a relationship with Jesus.  This program provides all equipment necessary for the instruction on an indoor archery range within the Family Life Center.  This program takes place during the summer months. The second program of MBCA is our 3D archery range located behind the Family Life Center Athletics Field.  The third Sunday of each month, year around, we put together a challenging 3D archery course for all avid archers.  Whether you are a beginner or an experienced shooter, this is the shoot for you.  Working on donations only, we offer a 12 lane shoot with 24 active shots for a fun full, family oriented, outdoor archery shoot.

Visitation Ministry:

Visits visitors and provides information about the church activities and ministries, and visits persons who have missed several weeks

Alcoholics Anonymous

Both groups meet at the church every Thursday at 7pm.
