PURPOSE: PROMOTING THE DISCOVERY OF JESUS THROUGH SPORTS
Upward Sports™ utilizes sports in order to connect with families in our surrounding community while promoting the discovery of Jesus Christ. Participants will learn valuable lessons about life and faith in addition to practical, sport-specific fundamentals.

Mindy Poland
Recreation Director
After serving many years as a coach and Individual Sport Director, in August of 2025 Mindy was chosen as our next Recreation Director which provides leadership for all of our recreation ministries here at Mineral Baptist Church.

Kevin and Robin took over leadership of our Upward Flag Football & Cheer ministry in the 2024 season.

Basketball League Directors
The Polands have served as Basketball League Directors since 2019. As runners and former high school basketball players, the Polands have coached Upward basketball for several seasons. Chris has also coached soccer for Upward and in other environments. The Polands strive to show every kid that they are uniquely created and loved unconditionally by God and that they are good enough for our league.
