Ministries

In a growing church, there is always much to do. 

Members of the MBC family volunteer their time and  effort to the church and the community in a variety of ways.   Some of these, described below, are focused primarily on internal operation of the church.  Members who support these ministries, often working without fanfare, keep the church and its programs working and growing.

Communications Ministry:	Provides information about the ministries and activities of the church to the members, the community and the area at large.;  Develops coordinated communications plans through the work of a Director and Planners responsible for the communication needs of selected ministries, groups and programs.
Greeter Ministry:	Greets and welcomes those attending services, especially visitors, and provides assistance as needed. Through our greeters, MBC show members and visitors alike the warmth and acceptance that grows from a Christian life, attesting that every soul who enters our door is a blessing.
Jordan's Path	Jordan's Path prayer & meditation center  ministry exists to promote the spiritual growth of the community  through prayer, meditation, fellowship and love. The Jordan’s Path prayer and meditation center is dedicated in memory  of Jordan Henshaw  who passed away in a tragic accident Oct. 20, 2005 at age fifteen.  Many youth and adults in Mineral Baptist Church and the community have been positively impacted by his life and faith. Media Ministry:	Provides technical support needs for worship services and other events as required.  It also includes practice sessions for those services.
Motorcyle Ministry:	The MBC motorcyle ministry, Mission Riders for Christ, was founded in 2008 to draw other bikers to the Lord through outreach, support and guidance to the MBC congregation and our community.  Anyone with a love of motorcycling is invited to join. Music Ministries:	Celebration Choir:  The Celebration Choir is a worship-leading choir in the 11:00 a.m. service at Mineral Baptist Church.  The choir's purpose and passion is to worship, praise and exalt our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  The choir presents a variety of musical styles from traditional to contemporary. Several times each year the choir performs special musical and dramatic productions including Easter and Christmas Cantatas. The Mineral Spirits:  a Gospel group made up of Celebration Choir members, was formed in 2002 to bring a close and intimate flavor to the music of worship.  The Spirits perform often during MBC worship services and activities and can be seen statewide in concert and at church-sponsored gospel sings. Boomwhackers: for children ages 1st-6th grade, sing during the 11:00 a.m. worship service every second Sunday as well as participating in the special Christmas presentations.   Praise and Worship Team: a dynamic group of musicians, lead worshipers in an uplifting and spirit-led service at 8:30AM.  Their music is eclectic, ranging from the David Crowder Band and Lincoln Brewster to updated hymns.  Our Praise and Worship Team also shares special musical offerings at Christmas and Easter.
New Member Ministry:	Provides an overview of the church’s doctrine, mission, and structure to persons who have recently joined the church.  New Member classes are held periodically; contact the church office (540-894-4234) for the date and time of the next class.
Prayer Ministry:	Provides persons to pray for the ministries, and staff of the church, and for those with special needs in the church and community.
Senior Adult Ministry:	Provides support, recreational activities and ministry opportunities to the seniors of our church.
Staff Support Ministry:	Provides support and encouragement to persons serving as full or part-time staff members and their family that says “We care about you.”
